JOB SUMMARY:

Supports, directs and administers activities within Aftermarket Production Control and Logistics. Responsibility of this position includes: leadership of expediting team, managing all parts AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support for Textron Aviation products, developing unique part solutions for complex situations for customers, coordination of after-hours procurement and fabricated parts expediting, recurring outbriefs to leadership on performance, and customer interactions (both internal and external) on a regular basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and submits for management approval; staffing forecasts, annual expense and capital equipment operating budgets. Administers approved budgets and overtime limitations.
• Develops and maintains organization structures and qualified staff to assure optimum functional effectiveness of the various departments.
• Directs AOG, Expediting, and Fabricated Part Planning teams, through combination of Managers, Supervisors, and individual contributors to coordinate with Operations/ Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Customer Support to support the expediting of customer spare part requirements.
• Develops and maintains metrics in support of requirements, and reports performance to leadership within both Operations and Customer Support, including primary responsibility for SLT reporting on AOG and Expedite performance.
• Assists Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Customer Support in defining production problem areas such as bottlenecks, capacity constraints, machine capability, or parts shortage issues affecting aircraft parts availability and speed of parts expediting efforts. Drives continuous improvement activity for long term resolution of issues.
• Responsible for close coordination with inventory planning, stockroom, logistics, and shipping / receiving functions of the organization.
• Provides effective communication of critical issues to Cross Functional Leadership Team, including SLT and Directors across the company.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in aerospace production, customer support, or relative experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with aircraft parts procurement, logistics, and/or fabrication
• Experience with complex supply chain or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet required deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork through strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to tactfully influence and persuade in order to interface effectively over a broad range of company functions
• Ability to communicate with ascending levels of management, as well as outside customers
• Public communication capabilities
• Proficient in MS Office products
• SAP knowledge
