Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Overview: The Manager of Accounting will be responsible for the daily accounting functions for several of the businesses owned by Comcast Spectacor. The Manager will be responsible for the financial accuracy of the accounting records, assist with monthly forecasting, assist with the annual budget and long-range planning as well as support for its direct reports. The Manager would provide technical and administrative supervision and serve as the subject matter expert to the staff accountants.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist the FP&A team with the monthly forecast as well as the annual budget and long-range plan
  • Provide assistance to the respective entities on purchase order request, invoice, and expense processing, as needed
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Ensures adherence to corporate policies regarding internal controls
  • Work with internal and external auditors by providing adequate support when requested
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree accounting required
  • 5 plus years of related experience required with at least 1-2 years Supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • NetSuite experience preferred
