ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located in Selmer, Tennessee. As a Maintenance Worker III, you will be responsible for supporting Maintenance team in conduct of all activities within agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures to increase the overall efficiency of the equipment and production lines.

Your responsibilities

• Executes the assigned work according to agreed work flows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines
• Responds to emergencies/break-downs. Reports for records all recurring problems with machinery, equipment and parts that can be identified and addressed
• Sets calibration, adjusts equipment, machinery and instruments so that they comply with production specifications and instructions
• Adheres to the health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives to ensure safety of people and resources

Your background

• Basic technical tasks training via an accredited Maintenance technical program with 5+ years of experience
• Highly skilled. Responds to emergencies/break-downs and carries out maintenance independently
• Strong organizational ability with keen attention to detail
• Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
• Strong communication skills both written and oral/excellent team player
• Task and detail oriented; manage time with minimal supervision
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
