When you join our team as a maintenance worker, you'll be part of a team who are committed to supporting our staff in their work of serving seniors and their families at the Livonia Woods Campus. In this position, you'll bring a high school diploma. Additional experience includes any mechanical, electrical or maintenance related experience and/or at least two (2) years prior maintenance experience preferred.

Here is some of what you'll be responsible for:

• Must organize workload and prioritize Work Orders to provide repairs to not interrupt daily activity needs and complete Work Orders to maintain the appearance and functions of the facility.
• Operate small electrical tools, lawn mowers, roto tillers, edgers, etc.
• Interior and exterior painting
• Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques in conformance with recognized standards as well as federal/state rules and regulations.
• Knowledgeable of and able to carry out expected procedures during all types of disasters and drills.
• Maintain the preventative maintenance program as established by supervisor
• Is available to assist other staff as may be necessary to provide a service in emergency situations
• Maintain water, heating and sewage systems as required
• Assist in maintaining security of grounds and buildings
