Description

Maintenance Worker for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. Hourly compensation is $25.31 - $26.41; hiring rate dependent on qualifications and professional experience and/or terms of Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Performs a variety of minor general maintenance and repair duties as directed. May be required to travel to various supply stores for miscellaneous parts as well as participate in conference room set-up.

Job duties:

• Responsible for completing minor maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including but not limited to: replacing light bulbs and lamps, unplugging sinks, drains, and toilets, cleaning air vents, registers, and changing filters, cleaning storm drains, removing debris from roofs, cleaning department vehicles and conducting minor auto services, moving furniture, assisting with conference room set-up, cleaning the shop and mechanical spaces, hanging-up of miscellaneous such as bulletin boards, pictures, etc., removing snow and ice when applicable.
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner and/or as identified by the department manager or leads.
• Assists the department with preparations for regulatory surveys.
• Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a health care facility is preferred.
• Basic electronic and computer systems knowledge preferred.
• Washington or Oregon State driver’s license.
• Must be able to operate powered and non-powered hand tools in daily performance of routine duties.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Work requires frequent exposure to conditions involving toxic materials or hazardous waste. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids once per month or more.
