JOB SUMMARY

Nokomis, Inc. is a premier R&D company in innovative technology, performing some of the most advanced R&D on the planet to solve problems for government entities. Nokomis was founded in 2002, and we now consist of nearly 60 employees across three offices and a testing site, all located near Pittsburgh, PA.

Nokomis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for preserving the best possible condition and functionality of our premises in Canonsburg, Charleroi, McDonald, and Waynesburg. An ideal candidate will be able to perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks, such as painting, HVAC installations, and landscaping. The Maintenance Technician will display professionalism, practicality, and attention to detail. The position requires the ability to work independently and responsibly, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

This is a full-time, contract position (M-F, 40 hrs/week). It requires daily, on-site work that could be performed out of any of our four locations, centralized at our headquarters in Canonsburg, PA.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Maintain electrical systems (bulbs/sockets, circuit breaker panels, etc.)
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other similar systems
• Conduct or schedule repairs on existing units and systems
• Ensure continued functionality of heating and plumbing systems
• Inspect fire and protection alarm systems
• Perform manual repairs when possible (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
• Assume responsibility for pest control (spraying pesticides, etc.)
• Conduct general upkeep procedures, including cleaning and landscaping
• Other skilled tasks, as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background screening
• Valid driver's license
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and similar systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and processes
• Familiarity with industrial tools, common appliances, and electrical devices
• Solid problem-solving abilities
• Manual dexterity, good physical condition, and ample strength
• Willingness to work

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
