Maintenance Technician

Starting $20.00-$30.00 based off experience, plus $1,000 sign on bonus.

Schedule:

  • 2-2-3 schedule 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on following week 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off
  • 6am to 6pm or 6 pm to 6 am. $2.00/hr differential for the night shift.
  • Scheduled holidays off

The Maintenance Technician will provide support to operations in order to meet production quality and quantity standards. The Maintenance Technician will complete hands-on preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair production


Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Assist with installation of equipment and machinery according to prints or drawings using standard methods of leveling and precision alignment of machine components such as shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, rolls, and couplings.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication of equipment and machinery, following standard procedures as indicated on PM program or in equipment manuals.
  • Assist with install of mechanical and hydraulic piping to plant or production equipment.
  • Assist with moving material, equipment and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding & operating forklift.
  • Set up and operate shop equipment such as hand tools, electric and air-powered portable tools, carpentry tools and machine tools.
  • Assist with emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Complete shop records and use reporting system following established procedures as required for effective performance of the job or operation of the department.
  • Assist in evaluation of processes, discuss improvements and help implement changes to increase production efficiency through customized solutions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating manuals for each process workstation throughout facilities.
  • Attend educational, industry sessions and seminars as deemed necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Hair restraints are required. Earplugs, safety glasses and or other PPE may be required.
  • Ability to constantly stand/walk; climb stairs; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left or right hand.
  • Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors in tight quarters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with temperatures ranging from 55°-95°F.

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license
