We are looking for a high potential individual ready to seek challenges and responsibilities at our Ottawa location.
Job Responsibilities:
Potential assignments may include:
- Perform non-scheduled & preventive maintenance of all facility equipment and buildings
- Perform and direct installation/revision of plant and facility equipment, with aide of lower level mechanics or contractors
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic controls of plant equipment and facility systems. PLC, HMI, PC, etc.
- Fabricate fixtures and equipment from drawings or concepts
- Ability to utilize CMMS software. Responsible for recording maintenance activities and parts usage
- Proficient in the maintenance of electrical, piping and fluid pumping systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in additional maintenance functions (i.e. welding, HVAC, control circuits or fabrication)
- The ability to use basic maintenance testing and measuring equipment
- The ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical materials
Job Requirements:
To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Five years of hands on maintenance experience, formal training in related technical areas desired
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to communicate with various levels of the organization. Must be a self-starter and use their own initiative in resolving issues
- Capability to be self-motivated and have the ability to collaborate in a team
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Prior experience driving a forklift and working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be flexible and available for off-duty emergency or unplanned work during schedule interruptions
- Dedication to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
- Exhibit regular and timely attendance
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces, from heights and above/near water, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and encouraging demeanor
