Position Summary:

The Maintenance Systems Manager will administer, coordinate, execute, and verify all maintenance programs, repairs, improvements, and projects are on target at their home site. In addition, they will participate and support occasional company projects at other NWH facilities.

Critical KPI’s and Value Drivers

  • Successfully lead and attain NWH Maintenance Charter KPI’s at or above target
  • Implement best practices from across NWH group sharing
  • Meet or exceed Continuous Improvement goals
  • Assist in leading the safety program and implement timely corrective actions to obtain Safety KPI levels
  • Provide direction and implement effective systems for equipment operation that helps the plant reaching its productivity KPI’s

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate, administer, and execute preventative maintenance (PM) program through the use of MPulse CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
  • Document, plan, initiate, and track maintenance purchases and inventory (including spare parts and chemical inventories that may require pre-purchase approval and procurement)
  • Obtain quotes and bids from contractors on potential outsourced work at the facility
  • Use experience and knowledge to implement proactive solutions to prevent breakdowns or improve operations and/or safety
  • Able to be a positive influence on those around them and a strong team player
  • Direct and work as part of a maintenance team to correct and enhance plant operations through the use of hand and power tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues throughout the facilities
  • Troubleshoot and correct electrical and PLC controls issues with the ability to read electrical diagrams
  • Repair and coordinate work on mobile equipment and machines requiring understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Must follow all established safety policies and have a positive safety mindset
  • Participate in the safety and environmental teams to execute needed audits and program compliance
  • Work in conjunction with the safety department to obtain permits and file reports as needed for state and local government agencies
  • Participate in occasional company projects at other NWH sites (overnight travel required)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant Industrial Maintenance experience required
  • CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) experience required (MPulse experience preferred)
  • Ability to travel for company projects (10%)
  • Knowledge and experience in electrical systems up to 3 Phase 480V

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Certifications and Professional training preferred
  • Prior supervision experience preferred
  • Project planning and project management experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of predictive maintenance preventive practices
  • Strong computer and documentation skills
  • Able to be a positive influence on those around them and a strong team player
  • Strong multi-craft maintenance knowledge and skill
  • Have a basic understanding of machine manuals

Reporting Structure and Location:

  • This position will report directly to the Site Manager
  • Will work collaboratively with the Maintenance Supervisor to lead and direct Maintenance Technicians and site resources to obtain KPI level performance
  • This role will be based out of Onalaska, WI
