Position: Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Maintenance

Accountable To: General Manager

Primary Objective

Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the hotel. Perform routine, preventive and emergency interior and exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain optimum efficiency. Oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry and other building systems.

Responsibilities:

● Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work according to hotel forecast.

● Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.

● Conduct follow-ups an all maintenance and repair work.

● Conduct safety inspection.

● Performs preventative maintenance to keep the hotel in compliance.

● Repair televisions, machines, equipment, etc. as required.

● Maintain the rooms and public areas in optimal conditions by performing repairs as needed.

● Maintains the basic upkeep of all rooms and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order and in good repair.

● Implement strategies to meet workload demands on time.

● Ensure the interior and exterior of the hotel is well maintained.

● Ensure all paint and flooring meet company standards.

● Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed.

● Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, etc.

● Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and

promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

● Keep the General Manager informed of matters of concern.

● Responds to both guest and team members reports of non-functioning equipment immediately.

● Prepare the Room Preventative Maintenance Program.

● Maintains the overall appearance of the room, hangs fixtures, does touch-up painting, etc.

● Repairs and maintains room’s heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems.

● Uses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner.

● Repairs and maintains minor kitchen and laundry/housekeeping equipment.

● Maintains exterior of building and grounds as necessary.

● Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.

● Adheres to company policies and procedures.

● Attends work as scheduled.

● Follows the hotel's dress and grooming standards.

● Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.

● Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills and Abilities:

● Ability to troubleshoot and handle basic repairs on all types of equipment.

● Able to perform a variety of duties related to the smooth upkeep and maintenance of a hotel’s

● operations on both the interior and exterior.

● Ability to inspect and repair various energy systems, such as the heating and cooling systems.

● Ability to use equipment and tools to repair floors, roofs, and doors and installing new products, such as windows, carpets, and light fixtures.

● Pushing/Pulling: Average weight a minimum of 50lbs constantly

● Lifting/Carrying: Average weight a minimum of 50lbs constantly

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
