Job Description

Wonton Food Inc., a leader in food manufacturing industry, is currently seeking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic. The individual will perform maintenance support in current facility, machinery improvement and development. Duties include but not limited to machinery equipment maintenance, general maintenance management, working with engineers to identify mechanical problems and provide solutions to the problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build, assemble, and fix production machines and equipment, in accordance with sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Repair and fix electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot sources of equipment problems by observing mechanical and electrical equipment and component devices in the operation; use precision measuring and testing instruments; etc.
• Inspect used parts to ensure safe production.
• Repair and replace defective parts.
• Follow the lockout/tagout program.
• Record all repair and maintenance activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 2-year technical degree with equivalent work-related experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive mechanic or technical experience, preferred in a manufacturing setting or similar; basic knowledge of PLC; experience in general metal fabrication, welding and machining is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Make sound mechanical judgement during preventive and corrective equipment maintenance
• Should be physically fit and able to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time.

Bilingual: English and Chinese preferred
