We currently have an opening for an experiencedIndustrial Maintenance Mechanic for our 2nd

Shift (3PM – 11PM base hours) at our White Bear Lake, MN Location. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers in a safe, high performance, team oriented work environment.

International Paper offers a competitive salary from $27.73 - $37.14 per hour plus $0.30/hour shift differential depending on qualifications.

Successful candidates hired are offered a $2,000 Signing Bonus that is paid out over the course of your first year.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment.Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining production equipment to optimize reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of machines. Candidates for consideration should have troubleshooting skills in industrial, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures.

Candidates are expected to utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process-manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics.

Accurately completing administrative documents and following directions are important work traits.Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Candidates must demonstrate technical experience, reliability and the ability to work independently as well as working as part of a team.

Individual must possess the following qualifications:

• Minnesota Special Engineer (Boiler Special Level) License or higher

• Strong industrial electrical experience/education

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication skills

• High school degree (or equivalent experience) and five years of maintenance experience with at least one year with the same employer.

• Highly-qualified candidates would possess a technical degree or apprenticeship certification and maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or similar manufacturing environment.

• Individual must be able to work overtime and cover off shift schedules as needed.
