experienced maintenance mechanic in the
Southern California area.

Salary: $28.98 plus $4.23 for Health & Welfare (benefits)
Description:
Respond to Service Calls, troubleshoot mechanical devices such as roll up doors, security gates, turnstiles. Minor electrical repairs to small and medium electrical motors and equipment may be called upon based upon contractual needs. You will prepare related records and reports on a monthly basis.

Location:
This position will be required to travel throughout the Southern California area on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities include:
- Review drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct installation activities.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of mechanical doors and electrical devices.
- Asist in the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of issue with generators and other electrical components.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and per code, standards, and contract requirements.
- Maintain parts inventory and tracking.
- Create cost estimates and work orders.
- Clean work area, tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 3-years mechanical field experience with large projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance with an emphasis on large doors and other electrical components.
- Possession of related OEM / military certifications.
- Adherence to workplace safety, to include industry standards, company policy, and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Must pass both a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel throughout the area of responsibility.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.]
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must pass Federally Mandated Drug Test
- Must pass Federal Background Investigation for DBIDS access to military installations
- OSHA 30 General Industry Certification (preferred)
- Welding of steel and aluminum (highly desired)
