Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The Maintenance Mechanic oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and also fulfill on-call duties for repairs.

Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Sustain the 6S system throughout all work areas.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHA 18001 certification requirements.
• Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.
• Keep abreast of new technology in the area of equipment, tools, and processes and automation.
• Maintain and build job skills through company or external training programs.
• Ensure that all scheduled Preventive Maintenance duties are completed in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is in down status.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and component diagrams.

Knowledge and Skill Requirement:

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

• Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic skills including troubleshooting.
• Understand purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Hydraulics, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical.

Preferred Experience:

• 5 years Maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• FANUC maintenance certification (robots or CNCs)
• ISO 9001/14001/1800
• Electrical Maintenance Certification
• Experience with High voltage (480 Volt) Systems
• Able to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Experienced with Computer Numerical Controlled Mills and Lathes (CNCs)

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

• Working outdoors / Exposure to both low and high temperatures
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
• Constant standing / walking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
