The Green River Distilling Company has roots back to 1885 and holds the tenth license issued in Kentucky. The latest iteration began in 2016 and business is poised for growth. The distilling operations lays down product for their own brand and contracts to make other brands. The campus also has a bottling facility and tours, tastings, and event space. Green River recently partnered with the Bardstown Bourbon Company. Bardstown Bourbon Company is a new blend of bourbon makers creating the next industry standard through unparalleled transparency, collaboration, and innovation.

With the most technically advanced and sophisticated distillery in the country, our pledge of transparency is on full display through open spaces and clear glass, putting the art and science of whiskey-making front and center for all to see. • 
  Manage, communicate and construct an annual R&M Budget.
• Supervises the skilled mechanics and electricians to efficiently repair and PM packaging, distillation, processing, shipping, barrel warehousing, and plant admin. equipment.
• Responsible for anticipating and communicating relevant issues and objectives to the Management team and technicians.
• Lead maintenance to ensure plant operates at a reliable level for operations to achieve the highest efficiency and quality through support of capital planning, systems controls, project management and overall maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
• Supports safety program through ongoing preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Actively participate, lead, and maintain ISO objectives.
• Lead implementation changes and maintain CMMS for the facility as a whole.
• Lead implementation and management of spare parts and critical parts inventory
• Assist with exceeding customer expectations through management of the Plant Maintenance department to achieve operational uptime in support to delivering product to the customer that meets quality standards and is delivered on time and within budget.
• Consult with operations on cost savings projects applying expertise to recommend new methodologies and equipment to ensure production efficiency, maximize output and prevent down time.
• Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
• Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
• Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Creates and maintains vendor relationships through active scheduling and quoting.
• Assist with CAPEX budget and yearly service budgets.
• Commitment for the Company's ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• At least 10 years experience in maintenance work and in a bourbon distillery preferred
• High school degree or higher education
• Experience in supervising employees
• Electronics troubleshooting
• Technical leadership
• Technical understanding of equipment maintenance
• Excellent Team Player

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
• The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
• The employee must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
