Southeastern Extrusion and Tool, Inc., established in 1971, is the largest independently owned and operated manufacturer of Aluminum extrusion dies and tooling in North America. SET employs 150 employees in manufacturing and customer service. The Company has enjoyed an outstanding presence as a national market leader in Extrusion die manufacturing.
Southeastern is a precision machine shop using state of the art Mazak CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, EDM wire and sinker machines and other highly technologically advanced equipment to create a quality product. Our die engineering department employs trained, experienced professional staff and our capabilities includes the most advanced programing software and 3D modeling capabilities available. Our products are manufactured by craftsman machinist from quality, certified H-13 tool steel and our heat treating and nitride process is second to none in our industry, creating a "long lasting, tough as nails" product to meet the needs of the Aluminum Extruder.

We are looking for a working, hands-on, skilled Electronics Maintenance, CNC Equipment and manual machining equipment maintenance Lead Person. Management skills to help lead and direct an experienced team to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and maintenance and also actually help get the job done. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and Electronics/Computer troubleshooting. This is not an executive management position.
The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. The candidate must have strong leadership and organizational skills needed to schedule and monitor maintenance work orders and staff accountability. As well as having the typical personal tools to personally perform maintenance and repairs on CNC and manual machining equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Physically perform maintenance and repairs to equipment such as repairing EDM, CNC and general mechanics
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Oversee new Install equipment, equipment moving
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing parts
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems for a Computer Controlled Machine process
- Check functionality of safety systems, machine guarding
- Collaborate with Operators and other professionals during repairs
- Report to the Plant Manager and Company Principals
Skills
- Management leadership and accountability skills
- Proven experience in troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of electronics and computer operations and communication with equipment
- Experience using hand and electrical tools and meters, PLC's
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Electronics maintenance, CNC Machine background is a major plus.
- General facility maintenance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsibility for Safety, OSHA compliance of the department
