Do you have previous experience in the hospitality industry and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service to our guests? You could be just what we're looking for in our next Maintenance Houseperson. Our hotel is extremely busy, and we need a detail-oriented individual who is willing to perform a wide range of tasks to ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience. Responsibilities include keeping hotel public areas clean such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies. You will also support housekeeping by delivering items requested by guests such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and bedding to guest rooms, and completing any special projects assigned by housekeeping managers. Additionally, you will support the maintenance department in areas that require immediate attention in minor HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Lighting.

This position is primarily from 5PM- 10PM, five days throughout the week.

• Check all allocated floors at the start of each shift and during the day to collect garbage, soiled linen, and other items as directed by management
• Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces
• Provide the highest level of service by anticipating, listening attentively, and responding promptly to guests’ needs
• Bring requested supplies, such as rollaway beds, cribs, and blankets, to guest rooms

• Follow up with all maintenance related items throughout the hotel, that may require attention to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or lighting.

• At least 1 year of experience as a houseperson or housekeeper preferred
• Graduated high school, received GED or equivalent
• Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
• Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Good understanding of cleaning techniques and products

We’re just off I-75, three miles from Florida Gulf Coast University, and nine miles from Southwest Florida International Airport. The Miromar Outlets mall is just across the road, and you'll find a good choice of shops and restaurants close to our hotel. We’re about a mile from the Hertz Arena, which hosts a wide range of events.
