JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Equipment Manager supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing all plant equipment. Schedules mechanics for time and shift preference responsibilities in accordance with Production requirements, capital projects and yearly plant maintenance schedules. Administers and enforces company policies related to Safety and GMP’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs workers engaged in performing repairs to various food labeling, packaging, and processing equipment.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces Safety and Good Manufacturing Policies.
- Implementation of established safety training program with weekly meetings of designated mechanics.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Schedules and supervises work to achieve readiness of equipment to meet Production requirements.
- Schedules mechanics for time and shift on a daily basis.
- Develop, write, and submit capital and economic projects. Manage projects from start to finish. Includes developing bid packages, and following the Company’s procurement procedures.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Quality and Food Safety - Overall responsible for finished product quality and food safety. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet standards. Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of Company’s Foods Quality Systems to assure compliance with quality and food safety requirements.
- Performs other administrative duties and projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Industrial Technology, Operations Management (or comparable degree) or Equivalent Experience.
- 2-5 years maintenance experience in packaging and/or food processing environment strongly preferred. Applicable working experience related to supervision of cross-functional maintenance departments.
- Strong PC skills relating to spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at one time
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills required
- Working knowledge of industry applicable PM management systems and programs.
- Experience within a manufacturing setting, preferred.
- Comparable supervisory experience preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
