We are seeking a Maintenance Director to join our team!

The Maintenance Director is directly responsible for supervising the various tasks within the Environmental Services Department in order to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly environment within the facility

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates, and controls the activities of the Environmental Services Department

• Ensures that efficient and effective maintenance services are provided at all times
• Establishes work schedules to meet the demands of the facility and medical buildings to ensure all areas are cleaned and linen is distributed
• Knowledge in all areas of Maintenance/housekeeping including, linen, computers, scheduling, patient room cleaning, terminal cleaning, hazardous materials & waste transport and disposal, and floor care
• Plans and develops training programs for all segments of Maintenance/housekeeping to ensure employees are properly trained in the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks
• Ability to hire, and motivate staff
• Evaluates processes and products and make recommendations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent required

• Minimum of three(3) years of related experience in a healthcare setting with at least two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience developing, managing, implementing, and monitoring a customer service-oriented department
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of institutional sanitation and cleaning procedures, applicable regulations, and equipment utilized.
• Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with all internal and external unit customers, as needed
