What the position is
Maintenance Control Supervisors are responsible for monitoring all maintenance activity outside of Heavy maintenance.
Essential functions:
- Supervises maintenance control work processes, coordinating between all departments and outside contract agencies
- Input & update required data into the computer system
- Monitor all open deferred items on a continuous basis and plan for completion/closure
- Sets priorities and maintains continuing effort to clear MEL/CDL’s per deferral guidelines
- Monitors maintenance status of all in-service aircraft and coordinates maintenance activity when an aircraft has a discrepancy
- Provides status updates to the senior management team including Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
- Initiate and expedite the movement of parts and personnel when required to recover out-of-service aircraft. Coordinates with the controller responsible, stores, and operations to ensure smooth movement of parts
- Disseminating information regarding operational plans approved by Operations to affected Maintenance personnel
- Coordinates with Maintenance Controllers, Technical Operations Planner, and Operations in routing aircraft to accomplish operational positioning requirements
- Sets maintenance priorities for Line Maintenance personnel based on operational requirements and has final authority in this aspect
- Execute or assist maintenance controllers in completion of required paperwork and forms in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Notifying the appropriate Inspection personnel whenever an RII is identified during maintenance procedures
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Able to independently use MS Office, Excel, and Word products, and other technology packages
- FAA A&P License required
- Ability to multi-task under operational pressures
- Must be able to take direction and adapt to new processes and procedures
- Ideal candidate is a problem solver that is extremely detail-oriented, self-directed, and self-motivated with a desire to contribute positively to the organization's reputation and success
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets, and work within critical milestones
- Strong personal and work ethics along with a high level of integrity
- Results-oriented
