Job Title: Maintenance

Summary:

The Maintenance associate is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair for the location; ensuring that the location meets local-state-federal laws and regulations; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the Facilities Manager. This is a non-exempt position and reports to the Facilities Manager. The position will be based at the travel plaza and will be responsible for travel plazas on the NJ Motorways.

Essential Functions:

• Inspect, diagnose and perform repairs and maintenance on all food service equipment
• Maintain; small appliances, kitchen equipment, minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
• Ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition
• Coordinate repairs within approved budgetary guidelines
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and records for all systems and equipment
• Travel to various location on the NJ Motorways as needed for repairs and maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Requires a minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance field
• Requires knowledge of the following trades: small appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Requires a clean driving record; ability to pass MVR background check required
• Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time
• Requires the ability to bend, and twist to perform normal job functions
• Requires the ability to lift and maneuver items weighing 80lbs.
• Requires the ability to perform tasks while on a ladder
• Requires the ability to be exposed to various climates from extreme heat to extreme cold
• Requires the ability to operate equipment that requires continual and repetitive hand and arm motions
• Certificate of completion of courses in above mentioned trades preferred
