This part-time position is responsible for maintenance and operation of park facilities, grounds and equipment. Applicant must have basic experience with small engines such as mowers, weed-eaters, and chainsaws. A working knowledge of carpentry and painting is a plus. Job duties include trail work, trash pick-up, cleaning public restrooms, grounds keeping, carpentry work, as well as some vehicle and equipment maintenance. On the job training is available. Must be able to work in inclement weather, traverse rough terrain, lift up to 50 lbs., and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. A valid driver’s license is required, and a driver’s record check will be performed.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The ability to read and write. Depending on the position, a valid Arkansas driver’s license is required. Some positions are required to under a criminal background check and/or safe driving check. Some positions require completion of specialized training such as ServeSafe. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.

Preferred qualifications: experience/on-the-job training, performing grounds keeping and/or the maintenance of lawn-care equipment.
