Job Summary:
To support and drive Equipment Reliability, Machine Uptime, and Predictive Maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Understands the principals of Root Cause Analysis & Reliability Centered Maintenance and how to apply them.
- Implements and manages equipment reliability initiatives, i.e. infra-scans, vibration analysis and gear wear analysis.
- Audits and recommends improvements to current preventive maintenance program.
- Manages annual planned electrical power outage to ensure reliable operation of major electrical equipment.
- Works with Plant Engineering to complete capital equipment commissioning process.
- Leads FMEA efforts for new and legacy machinery.
- Provides technical guidance to the Maintenance and Plant Engineering teams.
- Provides design assistance to Plant Engineering.
- Risk assessment and risk mitigation methodologies.
- Interacts with production personnel and leaders to understand their requirements.
- Ability to locate and/or rank problem assets in an effort to lower maintenance costs and prioritize recapitalization.
- Works with purchasing to identify and procure critical spares for new and existing machinery.
- Leads maintenance efforts involving reverse engineering.
- Assists with maintenance personnel technical training.
- Participates in plant continuous improvement efforts.
- Solicits technical advisory letters from OEM.
- Maintains equipment libraries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Reliability, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Three (3) years experience in a manufacturing setting as a Reliability Engineer is desired.
- Certifications / Licences: SMRP or CMRP certification preferred, PE License a plus.
- Must be able to produce CAD drawings and layouts.
