We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Line Cook, Broiler Cook & Sushi Cook.
Line Cook: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Must be able to read and follow menus and recipes
- Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for all menu items
- Visually inspect, select, and utilize only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of menu items
- Stock, properly rotate and replenish items needed for service
- Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment; comply with Department of Health standards at all times
- Work the line in a timely fashion and create quality and consistent products for our guests
- Ensure final presentation of menu items is up to standards
- Provide outstanding customer service when dealing with guests
- Perform other related duties as requested
Line Cook: Experience required:
- At least three (3) years of culinary experience in fine dining or high end catering
- Strong knife skills a must
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
- Flawless track record with attendance
- Strong team-working skills
- Positive attitude
- Food handler's safety certified a plus
- Neat, quick and efficient worker
- Highly independent
- Flexibility with scheduling is a must; schedules will include weekends and holidays
Broiler Cook
The Garden City Hotel is seeking an experienced Broiler Cook.
Must have high volume steakhouse experience
3+ years Broiler Cook experience
Sushi Cook.
We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Sushi Cook.
Sushi Cook: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and prepare various types of sushi including maki, nigiri and sashimi.
- Will be assigned to work as a Line Cook at other non-sushi stations.
- Ensure food standards and presentation are maintained and always improved.
- Maintain clean work environment, responsible for proper storage of all Kitchen items.
- Position reports to Executive Chef.
Sushi Cook: Requirements:
- Prior Sushi Cook experience.
- Line Cook experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, will interact with co-workers and guests to ensure a great dining experience.
