SUMMARY
Operate a dual-axis lathe and/or horizontal line boring machine.

• Second shift is Monday through Thursday from 3pm-1:30am
• An additional shift premium is added to base hourly rate for second shift positions
• Monthly, variable incentive program budgeted at 20% of base salary

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Read and comprehend blueprints, work instructions, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.
• Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
• Lay out, fit, or connect parts to be bonded, calculating production measurements, as necessary.
• Select appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary.
• Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires 5-10 years of related experience, or may need 3 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for the duration of the shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to use dual lift or lift devices for heavier loads. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
