Oberfields LLC is currently seeking an individual to work in Production at our Obetz, OH facility. This position will be responsible to operate our Hess 2000 Paver Machine as a Batch Operator in a safe manner. Ideal candidates for our Night Shift Machine Operator position will be mechanically inclined, have a proven history of working with a high degree of accuracy and enthusiasm, ability to perform a wide variety of production support activities and operate production equipment, ability to trouble shoot problems and make repairs as needed, ability to maintain accurate paperwork, ability to operate a forklift and front-end loader. This position is for the Day Shift with the hours of 5 PM to 5 AM Monday – Friday, with overtime and weekends as needed. The Night Shift Machine Operator position will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Job Description:

§ Monitor the proper start-up and shutdown of all machinery

§ Operate the batching and mixing system

§ Responsible for running batching per production schedule

§ Be prepared for change overs (next color) by being aware of product next to be batched up to minimize downtime.

§ Notify the Plant Manager of low levels of cement, aggregate, and other supplies

§ Ensure that aggregate bins remain at “run levels” and do not run empty

§ Make decisions concerning production when problems arise

§ Monitor all inbound aggregates for production and document on daily paperwork

§ Ensure all equipment is in working order daily; make adjustments accordingly. (Mixer doors clear, hoppers clean, belts clean, batching area is clean and free of debris)

§ Maintain accurate daily production records

§ Perform mold box changes and sizing in of product

§ Capable of helping the cubing line when there is a need to build pallets for production

§ Continuously quality inspect all product that is being made and ensure it is of the highest quality

§ Clean up Machine and Batching area throughout and after shift

§ Assist on cleanup of the entire production area.

§ Empty trash cans and waste hoppers as needed

§ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain records on a weekly basis

§ Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.

§ Know and follow all Oberfields LLC and OSHA Safety Procedures

§ Ensure that the correct procedures are being followed for all activities

§ Trouble shoot problems and assist with repairs and maintenance as needed

§ Complete the equipment checklist before operating a forklift or front-end loader

§ Notify the Plant Manager of any problems that develop

§ Good understanding of each job in production

• Possess the desire and willingness to attend outside training opportunities determined to be necessary for successful paver machine operation
• Ability to operate a forklift and front-end loader
