Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment for cleanliness and safe operation.
• Ensure adherence in following the specifications for each product. Must maintain high quality production standards at direction of production manager/supervisor
• Perform lot changes in conjunction with production manager and other supervisors
• Set up, start up, and shut down all aspects of the equipment.
• Ensure maximum performance of equipment.
• Monitor product flow rate and make adjustments as needed.

• Demonstrate high levels of good manufacturing practices
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures including values, safety, attendance and standard operating procedures
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

• Keep area clean and organized at all times

Minimum Qualifications

• Good observation skills
• Ability to follow a routine schedule and to handle numerous projects in progress at one time
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction
• Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must be able to work in cold environment (35°F)
• Must be able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in a loud environment (PPE will be provided)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Prior working experience in a Food Manufacturing setting required
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must have knowledge of manufacturing process and equipment
• Previous operating experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of management
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Schedule:

• Typical schedule is 6:00am to 2:30 pm but machine operators will need to set up and break down equipment daily.
• Typically work a five day week but occasional Saturdays may be required

• Overtime required at times

Experience:

• Food production: 1 year (preferred)
• Operating machines: 1 year (preferred)
