Position: LVN / LPN-Home Health

Location: 100 Northeast Missouri Road Suite 202 Lees Summit, MO 64086

Shift Information: Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:00)

Job Duration: 13 weeks contract with an option to extend

Job description- We are looking for a compassionate LPN with an ability to remain calm under pressure. .Responsible for providing care to patients in their homes or in a long term care facility. This may include providing assistance with activities of daily living, providing companionship, and providing medical and dietary needs.

Responsibilities-

• Directs and assists with resident, family/significant other education and notifies family on condition changes;
• Updates plan of care when needed and observes and documents observations and care given to the residents;
• Assists geriatric patients in Long Term Care (LTC);
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned;
• Assists with formulating a plan of care for residents and provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations;
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed;
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc;
• Long-term care nurses also often assist patients with the tasks of their daily lives, including feeding, dressing, using the toilet and bathing;
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks;

Requirements-

• State License
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
