Job Description
Under the general direction of the nursing unit manager, supervises and coordinates all activities related to patient care on assigned team or unit.
Assumes full responsibility for the direction and management of assisting team or unit in the absence of the nursing unit manager.
Functions within the limits of Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Nursing Standards of Practice, Administrative and Nursing Department policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of CVMC/Woodridge and Nursing department.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Graduation from an accredited nursing education program with a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Vermont.
IV Therapy and venipuncture certification - preferred
BCLS/CPR Training - preferred
EXPERIENCE
1 to 3 years of experience in a long term care setting as a team leader or charge nurse.
Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
