Responsibilities

The LPN implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. This includes demonstrating competency in strong basic patient care skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, specific patient care duties, and other departmental duties as requested. Primarily works in progressive care setting, but may be floated as needed treating all diversities. Actively demonstrates a passion for patient care while demonstrating service recovery if needed and displays service excellence at all times.

Qualifications

High school education or GED/equivalent

Completion of an approved LPN course with an active Florida LPN license


Current BLS certification


ACLS within initial 90 days


Completion of basic arrhythmia (i.e. ECCO training module) or monitor tech class within initial 90 days


Completion of essentials in IV training within initial 90 days
