The Franciscan Sisters of the Poor have an opening for a Nurse to provide an exceptional level of care for a small group of Sisters at St. Clare Convent located at 60 Compton Road. St. Clare Convent is the private home of the Sisters (not a care facility) and provides an excellent work environment. Position is full-time, 11p to 7a.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Provides appropriate care based on each individual's needs and conditions.
- Assists in assessing individual's needs; evaluates care and communicates any changes in conditions.
- Passes meds and provides any needed treatments.
- Maintains a positive demeanor, treating each individual with kindness, dignity and respect.
- Provides a safe and supportive environment.
- Assists with laundry and light housekeeping.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Ability to independently provide appropriate care and make decisions as circumstances warrant
- Current RN or LPN license
- Strong work ethic, self-starter
