We offer traditional nursing services such as therapy, hospice care, long-term care, and skilled nursing. Our rehabilitative therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, along with therapeutic recreation.

Requirements for Employment

Current State of Michigan Nursing License required

CPR Certification required

Excellent customer service skills

Provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED

Pass a Criminal Background Check, Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen

Must have the COVID-19 Vaccine or apply for a medical or religious exemption with the facility.

Job Summary

Perform job duties in accordance with State, Federal, and Local laws and within the guidelines of his/her professional organization. All functions shall be performed in accordance to the established policies and practices of Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Provide direct nursing care to the elders, including completing and follow through on physicians’ orders, routine charting, dispensing medications and treatments, and reviewing and reporting on care plans. Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges of elders. Develop a good working rapport with elders, staff, family members and visitors. Supervise the day to day functions of the Resident Service Aides. Maintain a clean working environment. Assist with elder assessment and revising of MDS and make recommendations of equipment and supply needs for household.

Working Conditions include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and reaching frequently. Possible exposure to conditions normally expected of elder care areas such as unpleasant sights, odors and difficult interpersonal situations. There is also potential for injury and exposure to blood and body fluids and communicable diseases. May be required to work more than 12 hours as patient demands dictate.

Physical Demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds; moving, lifting or transferring elders may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than 100 pounds; ability to stand for long periods of time.
