What You’ll Do:

• Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation
• Build relationships with both carriers and customers to become a key aspect of their operation
• Make pick up and delivery appointments that meet the needs of contracted carriers and customer requirements
• Dispatch drivers to designated shippers, consignees, and intermediate stops if applicable.
• Negotiate rates with carriers for maximum profit
• Provide the Logistics Department with all information needed to properly execute logistic plans as determined by the carriers to ensure proper customer service is provided.
• Maintain and further develop carrier relationships through daily communication
• Assist in the development of new carriers
• Communicate new carrier providers opportunities to Logistics Accounts Manager and Operations
• Procure reliable carriers to move customers' freight and be able to negotiate the best possible rates and service.
• Track shipments from pick-up to delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided for any given shipment.
• Address and resolve any issues with delayed or damaged shipments

What We’re Looking For:

Education

• College degree in business or transportation field is preferred.

Experience

• 1-2 years of Sales, Marketing or Customer Service experience preferred

Skills/Certifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work in stressful situations
• Ability to multitask required
• Entrepreneurial Spirit
• Attention to detail
