SUMMARY

As a Location Manager at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for the management of sales, inventory, equipment and facilities at the location by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands and efficiently oversees liquid and dry fertilizer plants, chemical containment buildings, NH3 plants and grain elevators.
  • Understand and efficiently oversees all rolling equipment including tender truck, application equipment and semis.
  • Collaborate with agronomy procurement to manage inventory, price and quantity needs, and delivery timing.
  • Learn & understand contracts, work orders, logistics, dispatching and other related functions.
  • Communicates and promotes agronomic products, services, and programs that meet customer’s needs.
  • Operates facility under EPA, OSHA, and Department of Agriculture laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and understand records of chemical repackaging agreements and shuttle record keeping
  • Oversee rail operations.
  • Direct assigned area inventory control of agronomy products and/or grain to limit shrink, non-billed products and services, theft, damage, aging, and deterioration
  • Ensure personnel and physical assets meet company safety, environmental, health, regulatory, maintenance, quality and customer standards – champion of safety compliance throughout the organization
  • Responsible for leading daily housekeeping, maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees and customers.
  • Assists patrons at the location in a professional and courteous manner with

agronomic purchasing decisions.

  • Ensure outstanding customer services delivered by all employees at the Location.
  • Partners with and understands the functional roles of the other Central Valley

Ag team members to improve the efficiency and profitability of the assigned location.

  • Delivers timely and accurate communication to targeted producers, based on

intimate customer and Central Valley Ag brand knowledge to drive value added

sales.

  • Ensure credit polies are followed.
  • Assists other employees in attaining Central Valley Ag company goals.
  • Participates in and completes company required training programs.
  • Plans, assigns and directs work.
  • Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 4 to 6 employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with division heads. Focus on highly engaged workforce with great communication skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • High School or GED diploma.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an agronomy role required.
  • Proven history of delivery of results required.
  • Takes responsibility for the way money and resources are used and managed.
