Litigation Attorney Job at Law Offices of Mark M. Childress, PLLC

Law Offices of Mark M. Childress, PLLC Fort Worth, TX 76107

From $95,000 a year

Who we are: The Law Offices of Mark M. Childress, PLLC, (“The Firm”) a family law focused law firm practicing in Texas with office locations in Fort Worth and Southlake.

Where we are: The Firm seeks a licensed attorney with experience practicing family law in Texas. The applicant must be willing to work from The Firm’s Southlake office in addition to their Fort Worth office, if needed.

What we need: The applicant should be able to assume a family law caseload post initial training with The Firm. The applicant should be able to independently manage their own caseload. The applicant should be familiar with the Texas Family Code, The Texas Code of Civil Procedure, and all aspects of litigating a family law case in Texas. The applicant should not be intimidated by the idea of having to try a case before a judge or by having to go to court. The applicant should be willing and able to take on a challenge. The applicant should work hard and be reliable. The culture of The Firm is rewarding in that we have built relationships with all members of the team. We are determined to find someone that will complement our firm culture.

What we offer: A competitive salary, health insurance, bonus opportunities, and paid holidays/time off. We encourage a work/life balance. Remote work opportunities are available after a probationary period. Independence and deference about how the applicant would litigate their case. The ability to have a paralegal or associate attorney participate in an interview process should the applicant want to bring their team over with them. Processes and procedures to ensure that there is structure in our team’s workday and that our team has the tools they need to succeed. A diverse team with experience at all levels of practicing family law. Opportunities to grow and learn as an attorney and member of the team. The ability to have your voice heard and ideas considered to make processes and procedures efficient.

Should you be invited to an interview, your interview will be with the managing attorney, Desiree Hartwigsen. We do not think the length of experience alone defines an applicant and their ability to effectively practice law. If you have experience in practicing family law in Texas AND are willing and able to independently handle a caseload, then apply. If offered an interview that process is to determine whether we believe the applicant is a good fit and can handle all aspects of the job and to allow the applicant, the ability to determine whether they believe The Firm is a good fit for them.

The Firm is fast paced. The team works very hard, and they take a realistic, proactive, and honest approach to cases. If this is something that aligns with what you’re looking for in your career, then I invite you to apply for the position. All inquiries will be kept confidential.
