Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with a commitment to learning and a can-do attitude to join our IT team. You will be responsible for:

• Optimizing system stability and performance on critical Linux trading systems
• Monitoring, maintaining, and supporting a variety of underlying infrastructure components
• Writing and maintaining scripts that allow us to build and deploy new infrastructure and leverage new opportunities
• Researching and implementing new systems that improve our visibility into our deployed software and infrastructure
• Maintaining and monitoring server environments, virtual machines, storage, and other associated hardware components

• Ensuring that software and infrastructure components are up-to-date and free of any security vulnerabilities
• Sharing your knowledge with other employees and creating needed documentation
• Working on automated provisioning of new servers and updating of existing ones
• Troubleshooting and providing support with managed systems and tools
• Working as part of an in-office team to collaborate directly with our experienced traders and technologists on brainstorming and implementing creative solutions to a wide range of problems

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related experience
• 2+ years of experience in related field
• Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash or other scripting languages)
• Experience configuring and maintaining monitoring tools and solutions (Icinga2, Nagios) (Icinga2, Nagios)
• Understanding of the Linux operating system at the administration level (Debian, CentOS)
• Extensive Linux troubleshooting experience (tcpdump, mdump, netstat, logs)
• Practical experience with container-based technology (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
• Proficient with code collaboration tools (git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Understanding of automated provisioning tools (PXE, Foreman)

Additional requirements

• Flexibility to occasionally work outside of core business hours and on weekends
• Ability to travel and provide support to other regions occasionally as needed
• This position requires physical presence and is onsite (no remote work)
