Line Cook Job at Tyler Bloom Consulting
Round Hill Club in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a Full-Time Line Cook to add to their distinguished kitchen staff.
The Line Cook will be responsible for plating dishes, preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete ownership stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
Competency:
- Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree or proven culinary work experience
- At least three years of cooking experience
- Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- Exceptional time management skills
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds if necessary.
- Must be able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finer, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of times.
- Must be able to periodically work in a warm to hot environment
Salary/Benefits:
- $18.00 - $26.00 an hour depending on experience
