Company Profile –Tempo Air has proudly served the plumbing, cooling, and heating needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth residential community since 1966. Tempo, Inc. consists of three business operating units: Tempo Mechanical, Tempo Service, and U S
Ecologic. Each Tempo business operating unit works together to offer full circle home comfort and energy efficiency solutions.

Summary: Tempo’s Plumbers will diagnose, repair, test, and perform preventative
maintenance on residential (single and multi-family) and commercial plumbing systems
according to Tempo’s standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair plumbing repairs, leaks, and underperformance of systems.
• Replace plumbing equipment. Included, but not limited to: Water heaters, tankless water heaters, storage tanks, boilers, garbage disposals etc..
• Read, understand, and quote customer prices out of Flat Rate Book.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service of the unit.
• Operate plumbing equipment including sewer machines and cameras, threading equipment, hydro jetter, leak detection equipment, etc.
• Give and take written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to organize work flow for projects and utilize time and additional help as needed in an effective manner.
• Complete documents to verify work performed in a legible manner.
• Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer.
• Work flexible hours as required.
• Explain service charges and work performed to the customer while offering multiple repair and or replacement options to any given plumbing need.
• Work a rotating on call nights and weekends when assigned.
• Sell plumbing upgrades, and service agreements to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Tradesman, Journeyman, or Master plumbing license from Texas State Plumbing Board.
• Two or more years plumbing Service experience.
• Diagnostic ability as demonstrated through prior experience and/or training.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirements.
• Ability to competently use a variety of tools, torches, sewer equipment, pro press, pex expansion tools etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and without close supervision; willing and able to consistently work the scheduled required by job demands.

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to tolerate extreme environmental conditions consisting of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dusts, poor ventilation.
• Ability to stand, walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
• Ability to regularly climb and work from 4’- 32’ ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.) regularly and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
