ROTATING SHIFTS (1st/2nd, 2nd/3rd & 3rd/1st), AS NEEDED

We seek fresh graduates and experienced individuals as part-time Licensed Practical Nurse professionals to join our team on rotating shifts, with holiday and weekend schedules required. The LPN provides quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients based on standards of nursing practice and care within the scope of license. Performs skilled patient centered nursing care to individual and groups of patients with complex mental and physical illnesses under the general supervision of a registered nurse.Provides a variety of patient care such as administering medication and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating for continuity of patient care.Ability to communicate effectively to convey necessary information. Ability to observe gauges, dials or other indicator to make sure equipment is working properly.

The Successful applicant must work one weekend per month. Holidays will be required.

Paid Shift Differential:
1st shift weekend $3.00/hr.
2nd shift weekdays $2.50/hr., and weekend/holidays $3.00/hr.
3rd shift weekdays $2.25/hr, and weekend/holidays $ 3.00/hr.

We are waiting for the Occupancy certificate for two new units, which will add 56 beds to our capacity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Virginia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement accepted.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing standards and fundamentals including medication management and patient assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual Spanish and English is a plus.

Special Requirements
