This person should have exemplary skills when dealing with children of all ages as well as patience and a willingness to act as a team player.
Job Responsibilities
Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:- Taking thorough histories and health assessments.
- Proper reporting and documenting of all information in patient charts
- Assist all health care providers for the proper care of the patients
- Vitals including temperatures, BP, heights, weights, and head circumferences
- Help to manage in office medical assistants and medical students that may be rotating through the office
- Run in house tests such as COVID, Influenza, strep, glucose and urinalysis
- Vision and hearing screens
- Give immunizations and perform phlebotomy
- Phone calls to answer basic questions and concerns over health issues, supportive measures and basic medication dosing such as Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen as an example
- At times support reception with appointment management and scheduling of visits
- Help support other staff members with general Maintenance and cleaning of patient and staff areas.
- Help to maintain general flow of the office and support co-workers
- Keep track of inventory and stocking of rooms and work place
- May need to help with prior-authorizations for medications, formula, or other health related necessities.
- Will need to fill out health forms, certificates and referrals as needed by our patients
- Need to be a team player for the health and safety of the patients and to keep a happy healthy work environment for the staff
Required Skills and Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:- LPN License required
