Pickaway County Public Health is seeking an Infectious Disease Nurse/Public Health Nurse with our Clinical Services Division. This is full-time position (40 hours per week).

Description: Duties may include but are not limited to delivering general public health services including administering vaccine to all age ranges (interprets, explains, and applies vaccine schedules); provides health education in a variety of settings and to diverse audiences; represents the agency at community functions, meetings, and on committees; assists with public health accreditation; participates in emergency preparedness exercises; and works on emergency preparedness response in a variety of roles including but not limited to pandemic response.

Minimum Qualifications and Characteristics:

• Licensed nurse (LPN) with a current license
• Skill in nursing tasks such as vaccine administration and related public health nursing duties.
• Ability to promote health education and advocacy in community surveillance.

Licensure or Certification Requirements:

• Must have a valid State of Ohio driver license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.
• Must have a current State of Ohio Nursing License.
