BRIEF OUTLINE OF POSITION
1. Responsible for ordering all medical and healthcare supplies when necessary to maintain adequate supplies on hand.
2. Responsible for completing nursing assessment and intake evaluations for all admissions on assigned shift.
3. Responsible for Informing Physician of any admissions via phone and/or email.
4. Responsible for dispensing medications, taking all vital signs during assigned shift and observe all clients who self-medicate.
5. Responsible for transcribing Physician’s Orders.
6. Responsible for documenting client’s medical problems, all remarkable occurrences and any client contact in the electronic health records system, as well as informing Physician via telephone and/or email.
7. Responsible for informing new shift nurse and Team of any clinical appointments, treatment needed or follow up appointments and also document such in electronic health records system.
8. Responsible to conduct Clinical Concurrent Reviews with Community Behavioral Health.
9. Participate in developing client recovery plans.
10. Participate in completing 7 day follow up notes on the recovery plan.
11. Participate in client’s aftercare plan.
12. Complete required documentation (example: Daily nursing/clinical, client weekly summary notes, etc.) and ensure that all documentation is entered into electronic health records system.
13. Provide Unit Coverage in absence of Associate Director
14. Facilitate Nursing Educational Groups
15. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Valid Pennsylvania LPN License plus two years of experience working with chronically mentally ill adults or working in a Crisis Unit. Must Be Fully Vaccinated
