The Licensed Behavior Support Provider will function as the behavior support provider for individuals referred to the IDD Behavior Support Team. The Licensed Behavior Support Provider will support staff and ensure that staff complete all required training to provide positive behavior support services to individuals referred for behavior support. The Licensed Behavior Support Provider will ensure compliance with HHSC service delivery and billing. The Licensed Behavior Support Provider will also provide assessments, behavior support plans, and training for individuals and their care providers in the community, nursing facilities, and group home settings (eligible to work remotely).

  • Conduct assessment activities related to the need for applied behavior analysis support
    • Functional behavior assessments and functional analyses
    • Procedural Fidelity Checks
  • Conduct activities related to behavior support plan implementation
    • Design, implement, and monitor both focused and comprehensive behavior support plans
    • Develop specific instructional plans with data collection procedures
    • Analyze and summarize data in both anecdotal and graphic formats
    • Provides Staff and/or Home Caregivers training and consultation on evidence-based strategies and interventions
    • Evaluates plan implementation and progress toward goals identified on Person Directed Plans
    • Adjusts treatment plan based on data
  • Conduct activities related to program and company policy and procedures
    • Documents all activities in accordance with guidelines and policy by writing progress notes
    • Attends monthly program meetings and attends company meetings as needed
    • Provides supervision of RBTs and Behavior Technicians
  • Conduct functional analyses and ongoing functional assessments, develop behavior programs based on the function of the behavior, develop focused and/or comprehensive plan based on the individual’s level of need describing service intensity and duration within 45 days of referral.
  • Attend meetings, as needed, to train staff, evaluate treatment fidelity, conduct ongoing functional assessment, and supervise field placement at a minimum, 1 time per month.
  • Measure and Report Progress regarding behavior support plan goals with notes summarizing person’s progress in narrative and graphic form at a minimum, once per quarter.
  • Submit daily progress notes documenting activities conducted with individuals served within 24 hours of service being provided 90% of the time
  • Attend formal training and/or self-study to maintain and develop skills using evidence-based methods for increasing functional communication skills, independent living skills, and decrease challenging behaviors that are consistent with behavior analysis and person centered.
  • Attend relevant team meetings and inform prescribing physician, therapists, guardians, state employees, and others of behavior plan interventions, progress on targets, participation in therapy, new behaviors of concerns and other relevant information needed to assist the team in providing effective person-centered treatment (e.g., information to help the psychiatrist in prescribing/monitoring medications)

You’ll definitely need:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals receiving services, co-workers and supervisors
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Punctuality and consistent work attendance
  • One (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Valid License/Provisional License in at least one of the following below:

  • Licensed Behavior Analyst
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Licensed Psychological Associate
  • Provisionally Licensed Psychologist
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Can successfully work remote
