License Inpatient Therapist, Job at Holly Hill Hospital
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Provides psychosocial assessment, group therapy, family work, and discharge planning to all patient populations.
· Works collaboratively with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and therapists on an interdisciplinary team to support the organization’s treatment program and philosophy.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
Master’s Degree in Human Service field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.)
Experience:
Internship, or related experience in the mental health field, hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
· LCMHC/A, LCAS, LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, or LMFT
· CPI Certification (Provided by facility upon hire)
· CPR Certification (Preferred)
Knowledge and Skills:
· Knowledge of developmental psychology and needs of various populations.
· Knowledge of short term/acute care stabilization mental health treatment.
· Knowledge of cognitive behavioral theory and systems theory.
· Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
· Knowledge of milieu management.
· Knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.
· Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, patient’s family members, staff and community personnel.
· Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and high ethical standards
· Assessment skills for evaluating mental illness and substance abuse in child, adolescent, and adult populations.
· Facilitation skills for leading psychoeducational and process groups.
· Organizational and professional skills for arranging aftercare appointments and placement.
· Professional verbal and written skills for communicating the patient status and treatment needs to colleagues, payor sources, patient families, and members of the patient's community.
· Skills in preparing and maintaining required medical record documentation.
