Library Page Job at City of Sterling Heights, MI
The City of Sterling Heights is currently seeking a Part Time Library Page! This is an exciting position within the Public Library supporting a wide variety and programs in the Circulation and Public Services Department.
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, performs miscellaneous duties to assist with a variety of projects and programs in the Circulation and Public Services Department. The Library Page is responsible for checking materials in, sorting and shelving books/other materials, maintaining shelf organization, and assisting with patron inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with office equipment and computers, including Microsoft products.
- Problem solving and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of English language, spelling, arithmetic.
The hourly rate is $10.15/hour. Schedule varies and includes nights/weekends with a mandatory Sunday shift during the school year (every fourth/fifth Sunday from 12:30-5:00 pm).
