The Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks an LA to manage her responsibilities and portfolio regarding Judiciary/Civil Rights, Education, Housing, and Women’s Issues. The individual would develop legislation, advance the Senator’s legislative priorities, foster relationships with key stakeholders, staff the Senator in relevant meetings, write policy and briefing memos and keep the Senator appraised of issues within the portfolio. Hill experience is preferred. Candidate should excel at working collaboratively and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, often on compressed timelines. Candidates should be strong writers, have good interpersonal skills, and have an excellent sense of organization and time management. New York State ties are a plus.
