Legal Manager Job at Cajun Industries, LLC
The Legal Compliance and Insurance Claims Manager duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, and casualty loss
- Coordinate with employees, coverage providers, outside counsel, and medical providers to ensure timely and proper disposition of claims
- Recommend and implement best practices to ensure complete and thorough loss investigation and evaluation, legal review, negotiation and settlement and remain current on claims management strategies and OSHA guidelines
- Serve as Cajun’s main point of contact with its insurance broker and insurance companies
- Lead Cajun insurance renewal and new policy generation efforts
- Construction contract review
- Legal research and reporting
- Coordination of discovery on various construction and employment law matters
- Preparation and submittal of contractor license application and renewal and OSHA and other regulatory reporting
- Registered agent filings
- Service of process point of contact
The position will report directly to general counsel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 – 5 years of experience and education in risk management.
