Position Summary:
The Leave and Accommodation Specialist provides support to the entire University of Alaska (UA) system by focusing on Family Medical Leave (FML), Long-term Disability (LTD), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for all university employees. This position will focus on providing a high level of customer service to UA employees and will work closely with our vendor to ensure prompt communication and compliance. Remote work within the state of Alaska will be considered for this position.Duties:
resources experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred: Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification. Certification of disability administration in higher education.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
