Job Description Summary:
The Learning Spaces Specialist is part of a team responsible for scheduling events and courses on the University of Kansas Medical Center Kansas City campus. This person assists KUMC faculty, staff, students, and guests with their classroom and multimedia technology needs for courses and events. Primary duties include consulting with clients about their needs, scheduling rooms and equipment. This position, while primarily remote, will require in-person training and may occasionally need to work in person on campus.

Job Duties
Day-to-day scheduling in 25Live of departmentally managed spaces and resources according to policies and priorities outlined; advise users of room use policies, priorities and request process. This will include consulting with KUMC faculty, staff, students, and guests through email or phone regarding their space and multimedia needs for courses and events. Selects and schedules appropriate rooms, equipment, and services (e.g. auditorium, wireless microphone, video conference).
Communicate proactively with AV/IT classroom support staff daily about last minute requests/changes.
Utilize ServiceNow ticketing system for reporting, tracking and resolving classroom issues.
Coordinates Equipment Check & Delivery.
Serves as a member of the Teaching & Learning Technologies team. Supports and participates in cross-training efforts to maximize unit efficiency and provide coverage of services during peak loads and absences.
Assists Learning Spaces Manager with reports and other special projects.
Performs other related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Administrative experience.
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Demonstrated success in following through and completing routine tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Commitment to working in a professional, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 25Live room scheduling software.
Experience scheduling events or equipment.
Experience using a variety of media equipment, such as video projectors, document cameras, microphones, audio amplifiers, audio mixers, and phone conference systems.
Experience working with faculty, staff, and students, preferably in a higher education setting.
