Learning and Development Specialist Job at Compassus
Position Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the Learning and Development (L&D) team and programs. Areas of responsibility include coordination, administration, and maintenance of L&D programs and projects.
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Create surveys and focus groups for learning and development programs/classes.
- Keep L&D training manuals up to date.
- Research new training methods.
- Manage learning and development mailboxes and respond to emails timely.
- Maintain registration/attendance records.
- Allocate tickets to other departments for issues related to training.
- Answer and resolve issues with learning and/or access for teammates.
- Work with the LMS (SABA) to include course/class deactivation and prescriptive rule deactivation.
- Create/release learning requests in the LMS (SABA).
- Perform a daily check of import files from Workday (e.g., colleague, location, organization, job family, job type) to ensure data integrity.
- Schedule, document, and transcribe for an LMS (SABA) evaluation.
- Work alongside the LMS Administrator on the process for identifying contingent workers; verification of access, training assigned to active prescriptive rules; and assigned training specific to role.
- Track Growth training and Growth accelerator classes in the LMS (SABA).
- Print materials, maintain inventory, and manage invites/make-up classes for Growth accelerator and training classes.
- Maintain recruiter roster and manage Culture Index Survey links for new hires and maintain new hire roster.
- Validate accuracy of prescriptive rule assignments.
- Monitor contractor access set up in the LMS (SABA).
- Manage paper content from 2018 that includes clinical and IT security
- Combine assigned trainings to ensure one-off classes assigned can be part of a package.
- Remove outdated clinical content from the LMS (SABA).
- Participate in L&D ad-hoc projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in a related role preferred.
Skills
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical skills including the ability to assess a situation, and gather information systematically to establish fact and identify key issue.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
- Training certification a plus.
